(Nasdaq:MKSI), a global provider of technologies that enable advanced processes and improve productivity, today announced the appointment Elizabeth A. Mora to its Board of Directors effective May 7, 2012. Ms. Mora is the Chief Financial Officer of The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc.

Ms. Mora has served since 2008 as the Chief Financial Officer of The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc., a non-profit engineering research and development laboratory serving the national interest in applied research, engineering development, advanced technical education, and technology transfer. From 1997 until 2008, she worked for Harvard University, ultimately serving as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance at the University, and previously serving as Associate Vice President, Research Administration and the Director of the Office of Sponsored Research. Prior to joining Harvard, Ms. Mora worked for Coopers and Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP) from 1989 to 1997 and was one of the founding members of its
National Regulatory Consulting Practice. Ms. Mora is a Certified Public Accountant and has an M.B.A. from the Simmons College Graduate School of Management. She also serves as a member of the Audit Committee of the Olin College of Engineering.
